This week we've started documenting the ongoing work of the Shiloh-Rosenwald school, located in Notasulga, Alabama. Rosenwald schools, a collaboration between Booker T. Washington and Julius Rosenwald, CEO of Sears & Roebucks, are landmarks in the history of African-American education. Many of these schools have faded from the landscape, but thanks to efforts of people in the Notasulga community, the Shiloh school (http://shilohcommfound.com) has been restored and is now welcoming students and educators.
